Main activity | This is a station vessel, 14m long, which operates in the Côte Vermeille zone, from the coast to the MOLA point in the vertical axis of the Lacaze-Duthiers Canyon, 20 nautical miles off the shore of Banyuls sur Mer, Roussillon. It undertakes research and observation assignments and teaching activities, as well as aquariology, public outreach and marine science and technology assignments, and maintains the pool of instrumented buoys from the Banyuls Oceanographic Observatory. The most commonly used gear on board includes drag nets, clamshell dredges, plankton nets, bottles, CTDs and core drills. |
